goa, day 3

So, as expected, I missed a day. My apologies to those of you who are reading, but I’m new at this and I’m still learning how to pace myself here. Talking about “pacing myself” I woke up with the worst hangover I’ve ever had (My masi (mom’s sister) thinks we need to celebrate this by the way). I mean I didn’t throw up or anything but I did feel like I had been run over by a truck. So all in all, not a fun morning, or should I say afternoon since I woke up close to 12:30 pm and didn’t have the will power to go brush till almost 2.

I would also like to take a minute and apologize to my mum because ‘hungover me’ kind of snapped at her but then she spilled hot chai on my laptop so it’s a miracle I’m even making this post. But still, I love you mom ❤

By the time I fixed myself enough to leave our apartment, Kiara and her family had gone to a beach in Morjim. So unfortunately I didn’t get to see them till the evening, but we’ll get to that later. Having said that all of us will be visiting this beach tomorrow (day 4) with another very special friend. Don’t worry I’ll introduce you to her soon enough.

Anyway, so while the Chettris were getting pushed around by the sea my family and I decided to go to a popular restaurant called Fat Fish (I KNOW IT’S LIKE I WAS BORN TO COME HERE). Here we enjoyed local Goan delicacies like the Goan thali and pork vindaloo…yum. So if you are in Goa anytime soon I would strongly recommend that you visit this place, it was a solid 10/10.

Now I know I said I woke up pretty late but all of us returned from the restaurant and slept some more. No judging please. I’m not going to lie but had Karan uncle not come to wake us up at around 8 pm we would’ve continued to sleep. But we did eventually wake up and got ready to go to restaurant number 2 of the day, Cohiba.

So here’s the thing, we were told that it was a karaoke place and that there would be some ugly singing happening. But no. We had a live band instead. Now I could’ve complained about this (because I can be petty like that) but I didn’t because the band was actually quite phenomenal.

I had also decided that I wasn’t going to drink tonight because my head was still kind of pounding. However, towards the end of the night Kiara looked at me and said, “I want to have a shot with you” and I didn’t say no. So we ended the night with two shots of ‘B52’s and proceeded to sing off key on the way back. By the way the bartender who gave us these shots was so cool with such a cool hairstyle and a cool attitude. He was overall a cool dude (if you didn’t already get that). So shout out to Mr. Cool Dude!

That’s all for today because it’s about 2:30 in the morning and my feet hurt. I promise I’ll try to post on time and record as many days as I can but just please be patient with me. If any of you reading have any recommendations for places to visit in Goa drop them in the comment section below. I’d appreciate it. Till next time.

K, bye.

PS: The cover photo for this post is actually from day 2 but I had no other option because Kiara went to sleep and I didn’t take any pictures on my phone from today. Oops.
